In 2008, at the recommendation of Ms. Dana Stone at Laird Plastics, we began using Laird's services as a facilitator for our plastics recycling needs. As a smaller custom plastic fabricator and machine shop, we had searched unsuccessfully for some time for recyclers to deal with our smaller volume needs. Our volume was not great enough for regular pick-ups without having to store large numbers of bins to make it worth their time. Dana was able to make arrangements for pick-ups at our facility in smaller quantities as well as providing bins for the storage of our scrap. This not only saved considerable money on waste hauling charges, but has saved over 90% of our scrap from ending up in a landfill.
